These are observation
PS. They're not very accurate. I'm guessing within 60 percent, tops.

It's semi-cloudy and windy. The moon is a waning gibbous. My eyes are naked, but luckily I have my handy-dandy quadrant with me. I'm on top of the KU football stadium. If you're not sure how to get there, just go to 38.9643001, -95.2475447. Currently, the altitude and azimuth of Alkaid is A40, a328. Cassiopeia is at A44, a53 and Vega is at A78, a280.

It's partly cloudy and there is a full moon. Once again, I'm at an undisclosed location, which I will disclose to you now: 38.96087, -95.24024. Don't try to come here. I have a dog and he will bite your face right in half. Tonight, I'm using two organs that detect light to observe the sky. I'm also using a quadrant. These "eyes" tell me that Alkaid is at A12, a355. Capella is at A20, a90 and Jupiter is at A20, a90.

Nov. 29, 2012 at 8 p.m.

It's a cold night in November and there has been a blackout in my neighborhood. According to the LJWorld, this is because of a car hitting a light pole. I'm using this opportunity to observe the night sky. I will not disclose my address, but I'm at 38.96087, -95.24024. Once again, my eyes are without clothing or a tool to better facilitate viewing. Because there is no electricity, I cannot make hot chocolate. However, I have my sweet quadrant to keep me warm. It tells me that Alkaid is at A30, a330. The moon is a waning crescent. The sky is clear. Deneb is at A29, a290 and Capella is at A60, a58.
